In my practice, I see people with a range of psychological disorders/concerns, with anxiety and mood disorders being among the most common. My training and orientation are insight oriented, meaning that a major focus of the work centers around identifying and understanding underlying causes of difficulties people are experiencing. At the same time I try to incorporate practical strategies such as cognitive behavioral approaches, in order to provide "tools" for managing symptoms and "reprogramming" patterns of thinking that are problematic. Some of my areas of interest include mindfulness, meditation, yoga, integrative health and various forms of exercise, and I enjoy incorporating these and other self care strategies into my clinical practice in order to help people make positive lifestyle changes.
