I work with college students and young adults who feel overwhelmed or unsure about what’s next, and I believe each person has a unique lived experience.

Hello, I’m A.J. You might be dealing with anxiety, self-doubt, or pressure to “figure it all out,” especially when it comes to school, career, or life direction. If you’ve been overthinking decisions or feeling behind, you’re not alone. I believe each person has a unique story, and part of our work together is helping you find the words, confidence, and direction to move forward. My approach is strengths-based and grounded in positive psychology, which means we focus on what’s already working while building practical tools to help you feel more steady and capable in your day-to-day life. Together, we can work toward clearer decisions, stronger self-trust, and a greater sense of direction. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a career counselor at NC State, supporting students with career exploration, job searches, and major life decisions. I often incorporate that experience into our work, especially for clients who feel stuck or uncertain about their path. Clients often describe me as approachable, supportive, and easy to talk to. I aim to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, respected, and able to show up as you are. I work with individuals ages 12+ and offer both in-person sessions in High Point, NC, and online therapy across North Carolina, with morning and evening availability. If you’ve been feeling stuck or unsure where to start, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’d be glad to connect.
