Aubrey is a dedicated clinician with a specialized focus on trauma, particularly Military Sexual Trauma (MST), and an advocate for veterans’ mental health
Currently serving as a clinician at Selah Counseling Center, Aubrey provides long-term counseling to veterans through community-based contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Her work primarily involves treating trauma, including Military Sexual Trauma (MST), using various treatment modalities such as EMDR, which was completed through the Maiberger Institute. Aubrey has accumulated approximately 2,000 direct client hours working with veterans, and offers tailored support to address PTSD and Major Depression. In August 2024, Aubrey had the honor of leading a workshop at the National Sexual Assault Conference in Washington, D.C. The presentation, titled “An Allied Front: Strengthening Civilian Support for MST Survivors through Military-Informed Healing,” focused on equipping civilian clinicians with the specialized knowledge needed to effectively work with MST survivors. Collaborating with Dr. Carol Meza, LMSW, Aubrey shared evidence-based research on MST and military culture, aiming to enhance civilian understanding and support for this unique population.
