With over two decades of experience dedicated to the education and enrichment of children and families, Aubree Kocher is a counselor who transitioned from a career as an elementary school music teacher to professional marriage and family therapy. Her clinical background includes a Master’s degree and over two years of volunteer service as a counselor at a residential rehabilitation facility in Honolulu, where she supported families facing substance abuse and economic challenges. Aubree furthered her expertise as an Intensive In-home therapist in Hawaii, earning certification in the treatment of anxiety disorders in children and adolescents. In her current practice, she utilizes an integrative care approach that blends cognitive, person-centered, narrative, and family systems modalities. Aubree supports adolescents, young adults, adults, and seniors across Colorado, helping them navigate a wide range of concerns including ADHD, alcohol and drug use issues, bipolar disorder, depression, and PTSD. Her specialties also encompass childhood behavior issues, gender identity, grief, life transitions, OCD, reproductive challenges, and women's issues. By tailoring healthy coping skills to individual needs, she empowers patients to face obstacles with honesty and move toward a positive future. Aubree’s therapeutic philosophy is centered on the belief that personal growth begins with the risk of being honest with oneself. Her work is also informed by evidence-based treatments such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness, as well as Parenting Skills and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.
