I am looking forward to meeting you! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist with a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My undergraduate and graduate work has been in various mental health settings totaling thirteen years. My experience includes working with trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, behavioral and emotional dysregulation, poor self-esteem, poor stress management, and life transitions I believe in a holistic and integrated approach that empowers patients to utilize their innate strengths and build new skills and knowledge to grow and reduce distress. I utilize a variety of evidence-based approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, DBT skills, and mindfulness-based approaches. I believe it is essential to create a safe and welcoming space where a strong therapeutic alliance is built, and healing can begin.
