Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Hello, I welcome and affirm clients from all identities an backgrounds to my practice. I provide a place where people are seen and heard.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I am a former collegiate athlete and graduate of Bluefield State College and Radford University. My expertise is providing individual and group therapy services addressing issues of athleticism, racial trauma, religion and spirituality, identity, substance abuse and stress management. Drawing from evidence-based therapies of CBT, ACT and mindfulness, I offer a comprehensive approach that not only encompasses the psychological dimensions of racial trauma but also integrates DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) principles. Recognizing that the mind and body are interconnected, I further tailor my interventions to enhance sports performance. I offer specialized mental health and performance therapy designed for athletes. Athletes face unique stressors and challenges, both in their professional endeavors and personal lives. To address these specific needs, I utilize therapeutic techniques, including mindfulness and relaxation techniques are employed to aid in stress management and improve concentration.
