Dr. Anissa York
(She/Her/Hers)
Psychologist
I specialize in working with college & grad students, complex trauma, adjustment struggles, self-doubt, anxiety, communication, & relationship concerns.
Hi! I've been working with college and grad students at various universities across the country for the past 14 years, and now currently in my private practice. I approach therapy in a thoughtful, kind, comprehensive, evidence-based, and holistic way that is tailored to meet each client's unique needs. I have been told that the work I do is approachable, that I understand the experiences that Gen Z and Millennials bring in, and that those I work with observe significant changes in their lives in a relatively short amount of time. When life is feeling disconnected, academics/work is leading closer to burnout, perfectionism and imposter syndrome are coming in strong, social anxiety causes feelings of loneliness and extreme discomfort, past trauma is impacting current relationships, or intense/heavy emotions are hard to shake, we will work through it all together. I am here to support you if relationships with parents, friends, roommates, coworkers, or significant others are not where you'd like them to be. Let's identify some goals together and get life where you'd like it to be. You are welcome here!
