Angela K. Dossett, PMHNP, is dedicated to helping individuals across Kansas navigate their mental health journey with compassion and mindfulness. By creating a judgment-free environment, Angela allows her clients to explore their thoughts and emotions openly. She specializes in both the treatment and remission of mental illnesses, providing a holistic approach that considers every aspect of a client's life. Angela's ability to think outside the box and evaluate all pieces of the puzzle enables her to craft personalized solutions that empower clients to take control of their mental health and embrace their true selves. Angela is particularly passionate about treating anxiety disorders and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). She uses supportive therapy and cognitive reframing to help clients rewire negative thought patterns and develop healthier coping mechanisms. Whether working with children, adolescents, or adults, Angela is committed to guiding her clients through their mental health challenges and helping them achieve long-term well-being. In her practice, Angela offers individual therapy and medication management, focusing on creating a collaborative and educational experience for her clients. She believes that understanding one's mental health is key to healing and encourages clients to take an active role in their treatment. Angela has a broad range of expertise, including managing conditions like ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD/trauma, and sleep disorders, as well as supporting individuals through midlife and later life transitions. Outside of her professional life, Angela is an avid sports fan who enjoys attending local sporting events. She cherishes spending time with her family, especially doting on her two grand-pups. Gardening, cooking, exploring new places, and spending time on the water are some of her favorite pastimes. Angela values the importance of relationships and is passionate about connecting with others both in and out of her professional life.
