Andrea Hernandez Gonzalez, M.D.
(She/Her/Hers)
Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist
I’m a Board Certified Psychiatrist and have been practicing for 15 years. It is a privilege for me to work with university students and their families.
It is a privilege for me to serve and help university students who are struggling with mental, emotional, behavioral disorders and addictions. Seeing the students overcome adversity and become resilient is highly rewarding. My aim in treatment is to help you identify areas of strength and provide you with tools necessary to overcome obstacles caused by negative emotional states. Empowering you to make informed decisions about your care, meaningful lifestyle changes and increase self promoted healthy behavior. With my skill set, expertise and training I aim to help you develop the tools to move forward and bring positive change into your life. I'm the owner of Verve Psychiatry in Chapel Hill. The practice offers a concierge-level service with direct access to your psychiatrist, extended appointments, and flexible scheduling (with flexibility of evenings and weekends). If our online booking doesn't show a time that fits your schedule, simply email me hernandez@vervepsychiatry.com.
