Amelia (Amy) Wojenski
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
Welcome, I'm glad you're here. I'm a licensed social worker and therapist who views clients through a trauma-informed lense.
Due to my background in social work and personal experiences, my philosophy is that mental health issues do not arise solely from the individual but from their environment and are understandable reactions to the situations they are in. I am here to assist you in navigating, understanding, and gaining healthier coping skills so you can live the best life you deserve. I approach every client individually, non-judgmentally, and work to make you feel safe and understood. I am gender affirming and experienced in working with women’s issues, Borderline PD, CPTSD, PTSD, religious trauma, domestic violence, ASD, ADHD, mood disorders, suicidal ideation, and anxiety-based disorders. While I prioritize using evidence-based treatments I’m flexible in my approach and understand there is no right type of therapy treatment or intervention that works for everyone. I’m trained in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed treatments. I have experience and an understanding of internal family system therapy (IFS), somatic experiencing, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and solution focused interventions as well.
