I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in North Carolina (LCMHCA) as well as a National Board Certified Counselor. I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois in 2014. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia in 2010. I've provided community based clinical counseling services, crisis intervention and psychosocial assessments. I have also provided community-based counseling services to youths in foster care with the Department of Child and Family Services in Chicago, Illinois and in San Antonio, Texas. In addition, I served as the clinical supervisor of the Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) team at a non-profit organization in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina. I work with children, teens, and adults treating mental health concerns including anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, grief or loss, ADD/ADHD, and developmental disabilities. We also work with families, parents, couples, life transition or adjustment issues, medical/health challenges, and LGBTQA+ population.
