Alissa Murray
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
In my practice I value collaboration, support, acceptance and honesty as we work together to achieve your goals- whatever they may be.
My therapeutic practice uses evidence-based techniques that integrate an honest, empathic, and collaborative approach. After receiving a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Wheelock College in Boston (recently acquired by Boston University), I began practicing in 2009 while pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University in NYC. I specializes in helping individuals with trauma and addiction issues to identify and achieve personal goals in a nonjudgmental setting. I also have extensive experience and enjoy working with college student who are at a critical time in their lives. Additionally, I work with individuals suffering from mood disorders like anxiety and depression or coping with grief, loss, life changes, and interpersonal conflicts. When I am not working, I enjoy cooking, horseback riding, spending time at the beach, and walking with my dog. I am licensed to practice in Maryland and Virginia, and conducts sessions both in-person and via telehealth for her clients.
