Alicia (Cross Keys Equine Therapy) Burns
Community Resource, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Pre-Licensed Professional
Professional equine assisted therapy services, nature-based therapy, walk and talk therapy and traditional talk therapy services available.
We offer a different kind of counseling experience: one that takes you out of the office and into connection. Our work goes beyond traditional talk therapy through Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, Nature-Based Therapy, and Walk-and-Talk Therapy. These approaches help clients reconnect with authenticity, build trust, and experience healing through relationship, movement, and genuine presence. Our mission is to provide hope, healing, and opportunities for emotional growth to people of all ages through relationship with horses, nature, and our professional treatment team. Sessions integrate elements of attachment, somatic, and relational therapies, creating an experiential process that supports healing in both mind and body. Whether working alongside horses, walking through nature, or engaging in therapy outdoors, clients often find that new insight and growth come more naturally in these settings. Are you struggling in relationship? Have the effects of trauma kept you from living the life you always imagined? Life can bring brokenness, and it is through relationship that healing can happen. For clients that struggle with the pressure of traditional talk therapy, being in a natural environment can provide the emotional regulation needed for healing.
