Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
I specialize in treating ADHD, anxiety disorders, and OCD, using evidence-based, compassionate care tailored to children, teens, and young adults.
Hi, I’m Alexandra Bennett, LCSW. I’m a therapist specializing in ADHD, anxiety disorders, and OCD, and I work with children, adolescents, and young adults. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely understood, supported, and comfortable being yourself, while also giving you practical tools to navigate challenges and create meaningful change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), DBT-informed strategies, and play-based interventions depending on each client’s age and needs. For clients struggling with anxiety and OCD, I have specialized training in CBT and ERP. I know that starting therapy can feel intimidating. I make it a priority to build a genuine connection first and create an environment where clients feel heard rather than judged. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, so I tailor our work to each person’s personality, goals, strengths, and developmental stage. What makes my practice unique is the balance between creating a warm, supportive therapeutic relationship and providing practical, evidence-based tools for lasting change. I want clients to feel comfortable bringing their authentic selves into therapy while also feeling challenged and supported to move toward their goals. Whether we are working through anxiety or OCD, navigating ADHD, building emotional regulation skills, or developing greater confidence, I partner with each client to help them better understand themselves and feel more equipped to handle life’s challenges. I feel incredibly lucky to do this work and to support children, teens, and young adults as they grow into themselves. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where clients can feel safe taking risks, learning about themselves, and discovering that they are capable of more than they may currently believe.
