Alexander (Alex) Trout
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Together, with you leading the way, we will begin the journey of making your life what you want it to be!
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Alex began his work as a counselor in 2013. Since then, Alex has spent most of his career working with college students in non-clinical settings. Alex's therapeutic foundation is based in solution-focused theory and cognitive-behavioral theory. He tends to work with clients experiencing life transitions, grief and loss/bereavement, as well as depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, and obsessive-compulsive and related disorders. As a counselor, Alex believes there are times in your life when things have been different and you have the ability to determine and decide upon your path to move forward. Together, with you leading the way, you will explore new ways of thinking and ways to reduce symptoms in daily life. Through this, Alex hopes to provide you with new and different skills to help resolve your own issues. Serving clients in the State of Kansas in-person and online, Alex provides counseling from late adolescence through the duration of the life span. Alex earned Bachelors degrees in Psychology and Music, with a minor in Catholic Studies, at Loyola University Chicago; he went on to attend South Dakota State University (Brookings, SD) for a Masters degree in Counseling and Human Resource Development. Alex is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Kansas and a National Certified Counselor.
