Alaina Larson

I am currently completing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Saint Mary’s University. I also have a master’s degree in Education and have previously worked with children and families as a teacher and as an Adult Mental Health Rehabilitation Service (ARMHS) provider. I have always loved working with children because of their openness toward the world. Their passion to learn and understand is something I find to be truly magical. When we reconnect with that child-like curiosity as adults, we develop a stronger understanding of ourselves and deepen our self-compassion. I believe we are made up of many parts that are all working to keep us safe and connected. I am passionate about helping people explore those parts and how they came to be, and gain insight into how they impact us in relationships, parenting, and daily life. My work is grounded in a strengths-based and systemic approach, while also drawing on Internal Family Systems, Attachment theory, mindfulness, and psychoeducation.
