Adolescents and adults of all ages in Texas can find dedicated support through individual counseling with Abigail Harris. A Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate, Abigail earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Amberton University following undergraduate studies in Childhood Education at East Texas Baptist University. Her clinical background includes foundational work at the Dallas Life Foundation, a shelter and relief organization where she gained a comprehensive perspective on human struggle and the mental health needs of marginalized populations. Additionally, Abigail spent eight years as an overseas missionary across eleven countries, an experience that cultivated her deep commitment to supporting individuals from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds as they navigate various life challenges. She specializes in treating depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, while also assisting clients with spiritual issues, relationship boundaries, and the exploration of identity and life’s purpose. Her expertise extends to supporting those navigating church hurt, spiritual abuse, life transitions, and grief. Abigail prioritizes creating a collaborative and secure environment where clients feel both heard and guided. She meets individuals where they are, regardless of their worldview, with the goal of helping them achieve greater self-understanding, freedom, and a more grounded perspective. Outside of her clinical practice, she is happily married to her husband, Jeremy, and enjoys watching movies, playing games, and spending quality time with friends and family. She is currently moved by the insights of Brené Brown regarding the importance of authenticity and finding the deepest connection to one's true self. For patients who are non-English speakers, Abigail is able to provide care by utilizing a translation service.
