Care that sees the person, not just the diagnosis.
Hi, I’m Dr. Salami, Nigerian-American board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of Time for Comfort Psychiatry. I created my practice because I believe mental health care should feel personal, collaborative, and comfortable, not rushed or transactional. My approach starts with listening. I take time to understand what you’re experiencing, how it’s affecting your everyday life, and what you want to be different. Together, we develop a treatment plan that makes sense for you, which may include medication management, supportive therapy, lifestyle changes, and practical strategies you can use outside of appointments. I work with adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, OCD, insomnia, alcohol recovery, PMDD and mood-related challenges. What makes Time for Comfort Psychiatry different is our emphasis on individualized care and creating a space where you can speak openly, ask questions, and be an active participant in your treatment. You are more than a diagnosis, and your care should reflect that.
