Child and Adolescent Acute Psychiatric (CAAP) Unit

Specialty inpatient unit for children and adolescents, ages 5 to 17. While the brain is still developing, mental health treatment can be challenging. We teach kids and teens skills to manage their symptoms in a way they can understand. Programming is trauma-informed and individualized to the developmental level of those served. For patients in this 21-bed unit, family intervention is an integral part of treatment and discharge planning. Treatment is focused on symptom reduction and skills development
