Tessa Martin
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), National Certified Counselor (NCC)
I enjoy creating a space that you look forward to coming to each week. My hope is you find what you are looking for in the hours that we meet.
The pressure to grow up, to fit in, to act like it's all okay builds up until it has nowhere to go and that has led you here. You may feel as if you are losing control, like you are on the outside looking in. Like the relationships in your life aren’t getting the attention they deserve, and you don’t know how to fix that. As if the expectations to achieve are piling up and the thought of letting someone down overwhelms you. But it’s just a bad day, not a bad life. With compassion and encouragement, we can develop a road map that aligns with your needs and wants. I can help you take back control from your negative and irrational thoughts. Create an identity you are proud of and proud to show to others. Increase your self-confidence by examining and emphasizing what already makes you, you. Reframe your thoughts from negative, unproductive to positive, empowering. I create safety and build rapport by showing up each session as the most authentic version of myself. I hope to create an environment you are excited to return to, an environment that brings calmness to your otherwise overwhelming life. Our space is made up of collaboration, patience, and growth and I serve as the guide.
