Susan Clark LPCC-S, LPAT
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
Susan is a highly experienced (20+ yrs) counselor and art therapist. WiseMind Counseling offers a DBT skills group for adults: Mondays 6:15 - 8:00pm
I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC-S) and Art Therapist (LPAT). Prior to starting my own practice in 2019, I worked in various treatment settings, including a residential addictions recovery center, a studio-based art therapy program, and an urban community agency serving chronically mentally ill individuals--many of whom struggled with homelessness, substance abuse, trauma, and HIV/AIDS. I specialize in treating mood, anxiety, and emotion regulation problems using evidence-based and experiential/expressive arts modalities. I hold competencies in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), CBT for eating disorders (CBT-E), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I'm also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and Exposure & Response Prevention (ExRP). I am passionate about helping adults and teens to improve their mental health, daily functioning, and quality of life. My approach is collaborative: I serve as a consultant (as well as coach/cheerleader!) to my clients.
