I have a strong background in evidence-based approaches focusing on individual and interpersonal factors, while appreciating the role of social issues.

Psychotherapy provides a unique opportunity to decrease suffering and increase quality of life. My approach to treatment is both collaborative and pragmatic - we will develop a good sense of why your experience makes sense, determine the best treatment strategies that match your preferences, and track progress over time. We will work to achieve both near-term relief and larger, thematic improvements in your life. I have years of experience providing cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy to a wide variety of people that is flexible and person-centered. My approach takes what works best about psychotherapies and tailors it to match your own lived experience and personal goals. I help people develop insights and new skills so that they are more independent and experience less emotional suffering. I am confident that my experience and honesty as a clinician will help you to feel better and achieve your goals. I welcome you to contact me if you are interested in working together in therapy.
