Pashience Merchant
(She/Her/Hers)
Counselor
You are the expert of your own life, and I am here to support you and work together with you to achieve your goals using a strengths-based approach.
I work primarily with teens and adults with struggles associated with Anxiety, ADHD, Depression, Life Transitions, Attachment, navigating the struggles of being human in a difficult world, and other needs. Therapy is a journey where we will travel together focusing on arriving at your destination. Together we will identify your strengths, strengthen skills that work well, and identify adjustments to achieve your goals. Through our collaboration, you will develop skills and tools that you can use right away, as well as, in the future. During our sessions, I may include variations on different evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, communication skills, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy. Together we will create and implement a plan to obtain your goals. I believe in therapy focusing on strength-based support, culturally competent care, and gender-affirming practices to support your goals. Therapy can be scary but ultimately, my goal is to set you up for success to the point of no longer needing my support. I look forward to meeting you and accomplishing your goals together!
