Marisa McCann
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
My approach is to serve client needs through the holistic and innovative services that foster hope and recovery through evidenced-based treatments.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, students and young adults. My approach is to serve client needs through the holistic and innovative services that foster hope and recovery through evidenced-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, trauma-focused behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, play therapy and behavioral activation. I have devoted time to families and have learned to effectively collaborate with them to help my client reach their goals and lead meaningful and purposeful lives. My treatment approach is individualized to provide clients with the best care and support possible while also addressing current life challenges. With compassion and understanding, I guide clients to find resolutions to a wide range of personal concerns and psychological issues. As a therapist, I will strive to understand the client’s culture and perception, to identify smarter ways to engage with and positively influence them. I believe a therapist should be passionate about others and willing to assist individuals with navigating the healthcare system to promote well-being that is authentic and reliable.
