I have been a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for 10 years, and I honestly love what I do! I take great pride in ensuring my patients feel heard and taking time to truly understand their concerns and answer any and all questions they might have. I think it is important to meet patients where they are, because there is no such thing as “one size fits all” when it comes to mental health care. I believe that in order for patients to achieve the most optimal level of functioning, the treatment process needs to be collaborative and comprehensive. Life is messy and there are lots of pieces to the puzzle, but I am grateful to be in a position to help my patients figure out where all the pieces fit! If medication happens to be one of those pieces, I take an individualized approach to determining the most appropriate regimen for each patient’s unique needs. My top priority is that my patient’s feel 100% comfortable with the treatment strategy we develop together.
