Jessica Allison
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
I became a therapist because I love helping people identify their strengths and assisting them in overcoming their difficulties.
I have extensive experience with teens and adults grappling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and gender dysphoria. I strike a balance between radical acceptance of emotions and behavioral change to facilitate positive growth using dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), radically open DBT (RO DBT), solution-focused therapy, and family systems therapy, to help clients achieve treatment goals aligned with their own values. I am also trained in the Gottman method of couple’s therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and sex therapy and sex education. I assist clients who feel stuck in extreme positions and thought patterns, to uncouple from their struggle with symptoms and find a middle ground. Together, we identify actionable steps toward a more fulfilling and meaningful life. The foundation of successful therapy lies in building a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship using humor, directness, creativity, and support. I believe that everyone strives to do their best, and I want to motivate my clients to push themselves further. I recognize the uniqueness of each person, and tailor therapy to reflect the unique individual I am working with.
