Evette Mei
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Serving historically marginalized communities who have experienced trauma or are navigating complex relationships. LGBTQ+ and BIPOC Community Welcomed.
I am a multi-racial, queer, Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Arizona and President of Desert Magnolia Therapeutic Services, LLC. I have a passion for supporting others as they realize their own strengths and resiliency. I received my Master's degree in Social Work in 2015 at the University of Washington, one of the top programs in the World, with a focus in social justice. Since then I have been working as a Clinical Social Worker providing therapy to LGBTQ+ individuals and queer/non-monogamous couples faced with complex challenges. I have been trained in several therapeutic modalities, but prefer to take an eclectic approach utilizing components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Gottmans Method for Couples, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma. Additionally, I have been trained in evaluating and supporting individuals through their gender journey using a gender affirming apporach and can write letters of support for interventions such as Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).
