Elsbeth Fast
(She/Her/Hers)
Certified Trauma Professional, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Highly experienced and trained therapist. CBT for Insomnia, Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, Depression and Anxiety treatment
I believe that clients seeking therapy deserve access to treatments that have proven to result in meaningful change. I provide treatment in accordance with the highest standard clinical practice guidelines for Insomnia (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia), Chronic Pain (CBT for Chronic Pain) and PTSD (Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Written Exposure Therapy) . In addition, I offer evidence-based therapy for Depression and Anxiety. I also see clients who are struggling with more general issues such as menopause and relationship conflict. There are many providers who offer supportive long term psychotherapy but my goal is to see you for a shorter duration of time and get significant symptom reduction within months of even weeks (CBT-I for example is typically a six session treatment). I use measurement based care to make sure that each session is helping us to achieve that goal. I am an experienced trauma therapist having led a specialized, nationally recognized outpatient PTSD program at the VA for many years. I also served as a national trainer for CBT for Insomnia within the VA system, teaching other therapists how to deliver this care.
