I use a relational psychoanalytic approach and treat people suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma and grief.

I am certified as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, using a relational approach. I’ve recently graduated from two rigorous trainings with the Palo Alto Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program (PAPPTP) at Stanford University. Additionally, I have a certificate in Art Therapy, and have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for depression. My prior clinical experience was working in Emergency Departments at the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula and for UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals where I provided psychiatric evaluations and safety planning for adults and children. I earned my master's degree in psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, California. I was offered a position working on O'ahu for the State of Hawai'i Department of Education facilitating individual talk and art therapy with children. I moved back to Santa Cruz and spent several years providing clinical evaluations at a psychiatric crisis unit and inpatient hospital for the Santa Cruz County Behavioral Health Center.
