Carrie Landis is a supervisee in Clinical Social Work and will be providing teletherapy to residents in Virginia. She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in the art of teaching. In 2020, Carrie graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) with a master’s in social work. Throughout her time at VCU, she worked with children in the public school system and provided community-based therapy to families, children, and adolescents. Carrie has experience with individual therapy, family therapy, co-parenting, crisis intervention, and psychoeducational services. Carrie supports clients with a strengths-based perspective and a humanistic approach. She enjoys helping clients see their lives through an attachment lens and working through trauma, depression, and anxiety struggles. She has primarily worked with teenagers who are working to establish their identity while processing life events and current relationships. She utilizes evidence-based practices but also believes that each individual deserves their own differentiated therapeutic plan. Carrie provides a safe space without judgment combined with empathetic understanding and unconditional positive regard.
