She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in the art of teaching. In 2020, Carrie graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) with a master’s in social work. Throughout her time at VCU, she worked with children in the public school system and provided community-based therapy to families, children, and adolescents. Carrie has experience with individual therapy, family therapy, co-parenting, crisis intervention, and psychoeducational services. Carrie supports clients with a strengths-based perspective and a humanistic approach. She enjoys helping clients see their lives through an attachment lens and working through trauma, depression, and anxiety struggles. She utilizes evidence-based practices but also believes that each individual deserves their own differentiated therapeutic plan.
