Amber Younger
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
I work with college students and young adults, offering support and skill development in times of transition, relational learning and anxiety.
I am passionate about creating a warm, welcoming space where you can speak honestly and be taken seriously. I will invite you to tell your story, reflect on formative relationships and experiences, and gain greater awareness of current thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors. Collaboratively, we will develop a plan to experiment with new skills and ways of thinking to live a more meaningful, values-oriented life that benefits you and those you interact with and love. I hope you will walk away more capable and confident to face the uncertainties of the future with hope. I welcome clients of all ages but frequently work with pre-teens, teens, college & graduate students, and young adults. I enjoy walking with clients as they navigate the constant transition, personal development, and relational learning that is characteristic of these phases. I utilize evidenced-based practices, drawing primarily Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Attachment Theory. I aim to acknowledge the complex interaction of biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors that impact health and wellbeing. I am happy to integrate faith as requested.
