She works with adults and adolescents (ages 14 and up) and has extensive experience working with the following: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, personality disorders behavioral disorders, trauma, stress management, interpersonal conflict, self-image, LGBT+ concerns, gender dysphoria, sexualized behaviors, and crisis intervention. She has expertise in patient screenings, psychosocial assessments, diagnostic clarification, crisis management, treatment planning, and psychotherapy utilizing evidence-based practices. Psychotherapy and mental health counseling involve a journey of self-exploration that increases awareness ultimately leading to self-actualization. Her approach to counseling uses a combination of solution-focused, person-centered, reality, and cognitive-behavioral perspectives with an emphasis on problem-solving, and symptom reduction. She believes open and honest communication between counselor and client is imperative to a successful therapeutic relationship, and that a comprehensive treatment plan is tailor-made to address a client’s individual treatment needs and goals.
