Sarah (Bennett) Kirkpatrick
(She/Her/Hers)
Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
I provide an open, collaborative, non-judgmental space to explore how you are feeling. Person centered, non hierarchical, and inclusive to all people.
I am a somatic psychotherapist specializing in mood disorders, trauma, eating disorders, and working through attachment wounds and chilhood/developmentaly concerns. My approach is gentle, yet direct. I push for my clients to confront difficult topics and dig deep to discover themselves. If you desire more of a talk therapist or one who will provide a list of tips to solve your concerns, I may not fit. Psychoeducation is imperative, and I will provide as much or as little as desired, and I am not a therapist who relies on a list of behaviors to try. My work will requires exploration of your somatic body and it's relationship to your emotional and physical self. Through this exploration, we can find specific behaviors/excercises/thoughts/somatics to practice. I welcome all sexual orientations, and nationalities, and races. It is paramount that these topics are integrated into therapy and that between the client and myself a safe environment to acknowledge how these aspects of identity have shaped the client's life. I am oriented toward social justice and the intersections of people as much as I can, while continuing to learn.
