Patricia (Patty) Richardson
(She/Her/Hers)
Psychiatrist, Psychologist
Dr. Patty Richardson is a pediatric specialist providing evidence-based treatment for children, teens, young adults, and parents.
As a pediatric clinical psychologist, I specialize in harnessing evidence-based, cutting-edge psychological interventions to help children, teens, young adults, parents, and families overcome anxiety, depression, school challenges, suicidality/self-harm, parenting stress, chronic pain, sleep concerns, physical symptoms (somatic, conversion/FNSD), and cope with chronic medical illness. I have practiced in Metro Detroit and the San Francisco Bay Area for over 10 years and I've been fortunate to train at world-class institutions, including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Stanford University. My treatment approach is strengths-based, tailored to your child's needs, and is grounded in research-proven techniques that result in meaningful and lasting change. I look forward to helping your child and family develop a personalized coping toolkit designed to foster resilience and serve your family for a lifetime. I am the founder and clinical director of Bluebird Child & Family Psychology-a speciality pediatric behavioral health practice serving Michigan and California families. I also hold a faculty appointment at Michigan State University.
