(She/Her/Hers)
Counselor
I collaborate with clients of all identities to create a safe, shame-free place for moving through and beyond trauma responses toward empowerment.
I believe the counseling relationship is a powerful tool for learning to to be kinder and more generous with ourselves. I understand that many of us come from environments, past or present, that tell us we do not "deserve" safety, love, acceptance, or belonging, and sometimes this keeps us at a remove from our communities and loved ones. In my practice, I collaborate with clients to create a safe, shame-free place for moving through and beyond these messages—a place where it is possible to experiment with vulnerability while searching for the most authentic and empowered version of the client's life. I work from a trauma- and neuro-informed gestalt perspective that promotes empowerment and resilience through the integration of disparate internal parts. As a poet and visual artist, I also believe that playfulness and creativity are essential to human well-being, and I strive to create an environment that makes room for spontaneity and curiosity.
