I will help guide you towards opportunities to practice new skills or challenge unhelpful patterns, empower you to survive & embrace difficult moments.

While therapists are experts of the therapeutic process, you are the expert of yourself. As a marriage and family therapist associate, I believe in a collaborative approach to the therapy process. We will work together to identify the goals you would like to achieve in therapy and I will provide the safe space and support needed to facilitate progress toward those goals. I will help guide you towards opportunities to practice new skills or challenge unhelpful patterns and help empower you to survive and embrace difficult moments. This means that you are responsible for the energy and effort you bring to the treatment process and the work you are willing to do to meet your goals. This could mean there is work for you to do between sessions and that I will ask you to practice the skills and strategies we explore in your day-to-day life. The therapy process is about healing and growth, both of which take time and effort. Lasting change is not about single moments, but series of moments. I am here to come alongside you, truly hear you, and help you take whatever steps you can towards achieving a better quality of life.
