McKenzie Bossert
(She/Her/Hers)
Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, Counselor, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Psychotherapist
I provide individual counseling to women, men, and non-binary/gender-expansive adults. I am Health at Every Size aligned and LGBTQIA affirmative.
My name is McKenzie Bossert (she/her), and I approach my therapeutic work with clients from a strengths-based perspective, meaning that I believe you have the resilience and resources within you to be your own healer. My task as a counselor is to provide space and strategies for you to cultivate a sense of safety within yourself, to increase your awareness that you are inherently worthy, and to reconnect with hope. I provide trauma-informed individual counseling services to women, men, and non-binary/gender-expansive adults, ages 18 and older. I enjoy working with folks of all gender identities and sexual orientations; racial and ethnic backgrounds; and body shapes, sizes, and abilities. My areas of specialty are eating disorders, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. I am Health at Every Size aligned, fat positive, anti-diet, and LGBTQIA affirmative. I strive to be anti-racist and anti-oppressive. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and integrates elements from person-centered therapy, IFS therapy, expressive arts therapy, ecotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy.
