Luke Wallenbeck
(He/Him/His)
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
My office is located just off of Hillsborough Street. Let's work together to figure out how you can have the full, rich and meaningful life you deserve.
Hi, I’m Luke Wallenbeck, and LCMHCA with an office located a short walk from the iconic Belltower. As an alumni (twice over!) of NC State, I love working with university students. My experience includes careers in the arts, design and development, and now mental health counseling. I am passionate about community health, our environment and exploring as much of the world as I can, preferably, on bikes. You can learn more about me on my website and Psychology Today profile. While working with me, you’ll experience a supportive and active approach to therapy. Sessions often include experiments, sketching out patterns, and practicing strategies together so that you have useful tools in your daily life. Therapy doesn’t have to happen on a couch either. We can head out for a walk, or plan ahead to meet in a park. I practice from a client-centered perspective believing that you are the expert on your story. I will be there for you as a support and guide while providing an open, warm, and encouraging therapeutic environment. For those interested in focusing on specific skill building I also provide coaching services.
