I practice a collaborative, compassionate, and professional approach to the treatment of mental health disorders, including substance use disorders.

I believe that our life stories are meaningful. In my work, I aim to help patients make sense of their stories and continue to shape them. I know that the relationship between a psychiatrist and a patient, when done well, is powerful. I practice a collaborative, compassionate, and professional approach to the treatment of mental health disorders, including substance use disorders. I provide a comprehensive treatment approach that combines medications and psychotherapy as necessary. Understanding that each individual is unique, treatment plans are tailored to suit your specific needs. In addition to medication management, I offer psychotherapy with a special interest in psychodynamic psychotherapy as well as mindfulness-based and trauma focused therapy modalities. For substance use disorders, medications (such as buprenorphine) are prescribed to assist in craving and relapse reduction.
