Liz Ross, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Houston, Texas, and a graduate of the University of Virginia. She is also licensed by APIT to conduct video sessions in Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Nevada, Oklahoma, Utah, and Pennsylvania. Her practice centers around helping clients to thrive in the face of unexpected life stressors. Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Ross worked as a clinical psychologist at TIRR Memorial Hermann where she counseled patients hospitalized with serious injuries. Dr. Ross's role was to help patients effectively cope with adverse experiences and to live happy, fulfilling lives. In her private practice, Dr. Ross uses techniques and strategies supported by research to help clients to overcome adverse medical events, trauma, and general life stress. My goal is to provide a welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable discussing sensitive and personal topics. My approach is both collaborative and goal-oriented. I welcome feedback from clients and utilize that feedback to tailor the treatment approach. I recognize that therapy is not one size fits all. In my practice, the treatment plan is individualized to the client and often evolves throughout the treatment process. If you have any questions about my practice or approach to treatment, please feel free to reach out to me.
