I have a keen interest in and significant experience working with those who are embarking on life transitions.
I care greatly about supporting those who are emerging into adulthood and find themselves curious and uncertain about who they are and where they belong. You may be someone who is navigating your college years, parting ways with college and beginning a new life that feels at once exciting and unfamiliar and uncomfortable, or attempting to establish yourself as a graduate student. You may also experience uncertainty and transition when making decisions about your career or contemplating beginning or ending relationships. As a therapist primarily practicing psychodynamic therapy, I believe foremost that our best work together can be accomplished by creating and sustaining a unique space where you can feel safe, nurtured, validated, and understood. This will be a space where you can be who you need and want to be; a place where you can be your most authentic self. Choosing to prioritize yourself can feel very unfamiliar and scary. It can also feel so empowering. It will be my intention to be curious and supportive, and you will be encouraged to share your thoughts and feelings openly, confident that I will neither judge nor reject you. By fostering trust, respectfully challenging you, and encouraging vulnerability, I hope to help you understand yourself, your needs, and your relationships in more sophisticated and nuanced ways. Collaboratively, we can work to help you achieve greater life satisfaction.
