Kirsten Newell-Marino
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
I have always had an interest in not only how our minds, bodies, and spirits are connected.
I look at an individual through a holistic lens, and use this approach, when appropriate. As part of this holistic approach, I have the belief that as a part of the world and universe in which we live, that we are all, interconnected and operate as a part of a dynamic system. I am especially interested in how mindfulness practices, yoga, animals, and nature, might influence the ideas of acceptance and non-judgment, and overall, positively affect an individual. I offer Telehealth/video counsel (as well as in-person) with an integrative, person-centered, CBT, strengths-based approach in a safe and nonjudgmental space. I provide trauma-informed care to individuals and am an EMDR trained therapist. I also provide animal/equine-assisted psychotherapy when desired and appropriate for the client. I believe that we all have an inner wisdom that is sometimes overlooked or simply forgotten. I look forward to working with individuals in a non-judgmental, safe space, while assisting in discovering and/or restoring their own inner trust and balance, and providing guidance on a path to inner peace, growth, and overall, wellbeing.
