Kimberly Bechtel
(She/Her/Hers)
Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
We can’t always control the road we find ourselves on, or the obstacles along it; but you don’t have to walk that road alone or unaided.
My aim is to work collaboratively with you to address and navigate around whatever challenge you may be facing using my expertise as a mental health professional and your expertise in your own lived experience. I firmly believe there is hope for a way forward, and that we can find it together. I value your personal beliefs and their influence on your life experiences, coping and development of meaning. A faith-based approach is available for those who wish it, but only at your request. I am Licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in Florida and graduated with a Masters in Art Therapy from Florida State University in 2009. My treatment style integrates these two backgrounds plus training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and various theoretical orientations to best meet the needs of individual clients. I have history of working with adolescents and their families as well as young adults in a University Counseling Center setting with a wide variety of presenting concerns and goals. It takes a lot of courage to seek help, and I am glad you are here. I look forward to talking with you and answering any questions you have about my services and treatment style.
