Hannah Carothers
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC)
I seek to provide clients with an affirming, growth-oriented space to process past and present experience. I welcome all clients of all backgrounds.
Social connection, both positive and negative, can be one of the most influential driving forces for our mental health and wellbeing. My goal as a counselor is to provide a safe, accepting, authentic, and empowering space for clients of all backgrounds to explore how they have been affected by lifetime relationships and experiences. This way they can build on their strengths, responsibilities, and goals so they can begin healing. I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and adults, particularly with exploring disordered eating and eating disorders. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and relational struggles. I additionally have training in identifying and diagnosing eating disorders as well as supporting clients within the LGBTQIA+ community. It is my belief that people are the experts of their lives and capable of fostering their own healing. I aim to provide support, new insights, and challenges for consideration, but I also encourage my clients to clarify their needs throughout the counseling relationship. I additionally offer a promise to constantly grow my own knowledge so that I can continue providing the best care possible.
