Psychologist
I specialize in the evaluation and/or treatment (CBT) of anxiety, OCD, ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, and depression.
I have extensive training and experience in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I am energetic and take an active, skills-based approach in therapy to help my clients learn effective ways to reduce their stress/anxiety and improve their mood, behavior, organizational skills, time management, and planning skills. I also specialize in conducting comprehensive testing for ADD/ADHD and learning disabilities. Through the testing process, I help people to better understand their strengths and weaknesses, and give them specific recommendations for intervention.\n\nSince 2010, I have combined my love for sports with my clinical expertise in my work with student-athletes. I am an independent contractor for the Duke University Athletic Department, providing testing (ADD/ADHD and Learning Disability), consultation, and treatment services (e.g., stress/anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD coaching).\n\nI adhere to evidence-based practice and use testing and treatment approaches that are supported by research. When working with adolescents, college/graduate students, and professionals, I take an active, skills-based approach to treatment. My focus is on teaching strategies using a CBT approach.
