17 years in practice

I have 17 years of experience working with young people on issues including anxiety, depression, binge-eating, family dynamics, & relationship issues.

As a social worker, I understand and emphasize the important role that systems play in our lives and development; this includes family, school, peer/social groups, community, and society as a whole. My overall therapeutic approach is strengths-based and solution-focused. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches in my clinical practice including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practice. I believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person and am an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. I strongly value diversity and welcome clients from all walks of life to my practice. I am body-positive and believe in body-liberation, which means freedom from stigma and oppression for all bodies. I recognize the unique challenges that today's youth face, and I look forward to helping you not only survive, but thrive.
