Danielle Thrush

Danielle Thrush is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a School Counselor with a Master of Science Degree in Community Mental Health & School Counseling from Fort Hays State University. Danielle specializes in working with children ages 4-13 in her private practice. Danielle has also been in education for 13 years as a school counselor and teacher in Wichita Public Schools. While working with a specialized Positive Behavior Support program in WPS, Danielle gained experience in working with children exhibiting aggression, self-injurious behaviors, and many whom experienced severe trauma. Danielle has enjoyed developing close relationships with her clients and their families. Danielle listens to parents to provide productive feedback and interventions that can easily be implemented to help the child succeed to the best of their ability at home, school, and within the community. She uses mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and other evidence based techniques to teach her clients the skills to manage and cope with strong emotions.
