Daina Schatzman
Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT)
I love working with individuals, couples, and families to improve their lives and relationships.
Do you need hope that your current situation, struggle or relationship can improve? Are you beginning to lose heart and the belief that things can change? Sometimes the challenges we face feel overwhelming or seem impossible to overcome. I have a down to earth, personal approach to therapy and will strive to understand your needs and tailor my approach to you as an individual, couple or family. The first phone call or email to a therapist can feel as challenging as what you are going through. It will truly be worth allowing someone to walk with you during this time in your life! I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is an extensively researched and proven treatment of varying levels of trauma. I have experienced very good outcomes with EMDR treating a variety of client issues including PTSD, car accidents, specific phobias, fears and other disturbing events. One of the most important elements of therapy is that you feel the therapist is a good "fit" for you and that you feel comfortable talking with him or her. The first session is a great opportunity to meet and determine if I will be a good fit for you.
