Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
I take great care to provide an inviting and supportive environment, to meet clients with compassion and acceptance in their journey toward mental health.
Hello! I have been fortunate to practice psychotherapy since 1992. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and an Advanced Teacher of Therapeutic Yoga. I find it fulfilling and helpful to use Mind-Body practices to assist clients in alleviating anxiety, depression, the effects of trauma, and other distress. I am also trained in Christian Counseling, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. I am currently training to become a Certified Yoga Therapist with the Kripalu School of Integrative Yoga Therapy. I do not believe it is the therapist’s job to “fix” the client, but to help the client discover their own inner resources. I find great joy in combining my varied education, professional experiences and interests to provide a customized approach to helping my clients meet their goals. I embrace and honor each person's unique journey in life and therapy. It is my goal that you feel seen, heard, supported and safe. I strive to create a therapeutic alliance based on respect, allowing clients to be fully present with themselves. It is my belief that each person has within them the courage and resources for healing, and I strive to provide an affirming environment and research backed therapeutic tools to help access these resources. I am LGBTQI allied. **Insurances accepted: Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Security Health Plan, WPS, The Alliance.
