Whitney (Dr. Whitney Spears) Spears
(She/Her/Hers)
Psychologist
I value creating a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space for my clients. I work with adults in individual therapy across all identities and backgrounds.
I view the relationship between the client and therapist as the most important aspect of therapy. I value creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space in which clients feel comfortable being open about their experiences. I spend time getting to know my clients, listening to their needs, and meeting them where they are. I utilize an integrative approach to treatment, emphasizing emotion-focused and interpersonal process theories, along with evidence-based techniques. I enjoy working with adults in individual therapy across all identities and backgrounds. I am a generalist and can help with anxiety, depression, trauma, women's issues, relationship concerns, academic issues, and exploration of gender and/or sexual orientation. I've also pursued specialized training in treating eating disorders, and am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. I look forward to building a relationship with you, and am honored to help you achieve the goals you have set for yourself. Currently, I am providing secure, HIPAA compliant sessions via teletherapy.
